Welcome to the Gwinn Reunion website! This is a reunion of the descendants of George Loomis Gwinn and Rosa Spade Gwinn, who raised to adulthood eleven wonderful children (six boys in a row, followed by five lovely daughters). Each year, on the weekend nearest Rosa Spade Gwinn's birthday, the family would gather at Round Bottom, the family homeplace in the New River Gorge near McKendree. Their descendants still gather annually. Today, Round Bottom lies within the New River Gorge National River. That particular bend in the river is now accessible only by boat, raft, canoe, or a lengthy hike through the daunting wilderness of the gorge. So, the tradition of the Round Bottom reunion continues today; but we meet in a more accessible and comfortable facility on the beautiful plateau above the gorge.
